Our Story
Halina’s Home Care was founded on the sole principal idea of a residential home care setting. It’s founder Halina Migo, RN, was looking at the nursing care options facing the aging population and decided to offer an alternative choice in senior care facilities. Established over 28 years ago in St. Charles, Illinois, Halina’s Home Care was the first of its kind in offering private duty senior care in Kane County. With her son Dan, they began expanding the concept into four locations serving the Fox Valley community and beyond. Today, Halina’s Home Care is a welcomed concept and established within the community, serving the needs of its elderly and disabled in a warm, nurturing, and private group home setting.

Our mom being at Halinas has been a wonderful experience. After several trips back-and-forth from the hospital and rehab centers we knew it was time for her to have full-time care. We have been to some nursing home facilities and found that most of the time she was sitting at the nurses station in her wheelchair and was not happy. When we heard about Halinas we went out to visit the different homes and what a difference. A residential home with a limited number of residents per facility gives her a lot of personalized care and attention. Two full-time caregivers a beautiful dining room to go together for dinner a sitting room to watch TV together and a nice open area to visit. The natural lighting throughout the house really makes it fresh and open. Communication between our family and Halinas has always been very prompt and informative. We have spent the last few holidays having dinner with mom the residents and their family. Wouldn’t have her anywhere else she has great caregivers peaceful atmosphere and we can visit whenever we want.- Velenstine Family
